Question: Will I need reading glasses after LASIK?
Answer: Almost all of us will require reading glasses at some point in our lives. Our ability to focus on near objects decreases as we age, a condition commonly known as presbyopia. This condition occurs at approximately 40 years of age. Depending on your age and the type of prescription you had before LASIK, you may need to wear glasses for reading after having LASIK.

There are some variations of LASIK, such as monovison LASIK, that may lessen your need for reading glasses.
