Silicone Hydrogel Contact Lenses

Wearing contact lenses increases the risk of developing dangerous eye infections. Are silicone hydrogel lenses a safer alternative to regular soft contact lenses?

I have add corneal problems. I have worn silicone hydrogel lenses for three years and find that they are more comfortable and give me better vision than with glasses, especially when working in front of computers.
