Free Eye Exams for Seniors

Sunday March 2, 2008
Senior eye examIn honor of March’s Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) Awareness Month, EyeCare America is launching an awareness campaign for AMD. The campaign is called "Do You See What I See?" and aims to raise awareness about AMD, its risk factors and its treatment options. Through its AMD Eyecare Program, the national organization is offering free eye exams to seniors who have not yet been diagnosed with AMD. People can call the toll-free helpline at 1-866-324-EYES (3937) anytime, for themselves and/or family members and friends to see if they qualify for a free eye exam.
