Most children have healthy eyes, but many conditions can affect good vision. Your child's eyes should be examined during regular pediatric appointments and regular vision screenings should begin around the age of three. Be aware of signs of possible vision problems, including frequent squinting or rubbing of the eyes.
Discuss eye safety with your child this month. Make sure children play safely with age-appropriate toys, and remind them to wear protective eyewear during sports activities. Play it safe!
