Are Your Eyes Safe in the Sun?

Eye ProtectionAs you apply sunscreen this summer, don't forget that your eyes also need protection. UV rays from the sun can cause eye problems in the future. I am often surprised by the number of patients I see that admit to not regularly wearing sunglasses. Take the time to pick out quality shades, and make sure your kids do, too. For maximum protection, a pair of sunglasses should be labeled "99 to 100 percent UV protection."
